Care & Materials

Make it last

Your chair is built for years of hard sitting. Ten minutes of care a month keeps it looking β€” and feeling β€” like day one. Here's the honest, no-magic-spray guide.

Start with your material
Surface 01

PU leather care

Applies to: RGB PRO · RGB START

PU leather is the easiest surface in the lineup to live with: it wipes clean and doesn't absorb spills the way fabric does. The whole routine is a soft cloth, a little mild soap, and staying away from harsh chemicals.

Do
  • Dust weekly with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth.
  • For marks, use mild soap diluted in warm water on a well-wrung damp cloth β€” damp, never wet.
  • Blot spills immediately, then wipe with clean water and dry with a soft towel.
  • Dry the surface right after cleaning β€” don't leave standing moisture.
  • Keep the chair out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
Don't
  • No solvents, bleach, or alcohol-based cleaners β€” they can strip and crack the surface.
  • No abrasive pads, scouring powder, or stiff brushes.
  • Don't soak the upholstery or hose it down.
  • No heat-drying β€” keep hair dryers and heaters away.
  • Watch sharp objects and pet claws; punctures in PU can't be wiped away.

Test first. Whatever you clean with, try it on a hidden spot (under the seat edge) before the parts everyone sees.

Surface 02

Mesh care

Applies to: ERGO MESH

Mesh doesn't trap heat β€” but it can trap dust. The good news: a vacuum with a soft brush attachment does most of the work, and the weave dries fast when you do need to spot-clean.

ERGO MESH β€” breathable mesh back
Do
  • Vacuum the mesh with a soft brush attachment to lift dust out of the weave.
  • Spot-clean marks with mild soap in water and a barely damp cloth, working gently.
  • Wipe the frame, armrests, and base with a damp cloth, then dry.
  • Let mesh air-dry completely before you sit back down.
Don't
  • Don't saturate the mesh β€” water sitting in the weave takes ages to dry.
  • No stiff brushes or scrubbing that can pull or fray the weave.
  • No bleach or strong detergents on the fabric.
  • Don't hang heavy bags off the backrest β€” mesh is tensioned to support you, not your luggage.

Running hot? That's what the mesh is for β€” but sweat still carries oils. A quick vacuum-and-wipe once a month keeps the weave fresh.

Surface 03

Memory foam & linen care

Applies to: MEMORY PRO

Linen over memory foam is the most tactile surface in the lineup β€” and the one to treat most gently. The golden rule: blot, never scrub, and keep moisture away from the foam underneath.

MEMORY PRO β€” memory foam under a linen surface
Do
  • Spot-clean gently: blot spills straight away with a dry absorbent cloth.
  • For marks, dab with mild soap in water on a wrung-out cloth β€” small area, light touch.
  • Vacuum on low suction with an upholstery attachment to lift dust and crumbs.
  • Let the fabric air-dry naturally and fully before use.
Don't
  • Never scrub linen β€” rubbing works a stain deeper and roughens the surface.
  • Don't soak the cushioning; memory foam holds water and dries slowly.
  • The upholstery is not machine-washable β€” it stays on the chair.
  • No strong detergents, bleach, or stain-remover sprays.
  • No direct heat to speed up drying β€” it can set stains and stress the foam.

Foam recovers on its own. Memory foam compresses to your shape and eases back when you move β€” no fluffing or flipping required.

Lighting & power

Lighting & electronics care

Applies to: RGB PRO · RGB START (built-in LED lighting)

The lighting system is the one part of your chair that plugs in β€” so the one rule that outranks all others: power off and unplug before you clean. Everything else is common sense.

Built-in LED lighting β€” RGB PRO & RGB START
Do
  • Unplug the chair (and switch the lighting off) before any cleaning.
  • Wipe lit areas with a dry or barely damp cloth only.
  • Route the power cable so it can't be rolled over by the casters.
  • Keep any lighting controls dry and stored where they won't be sat on.
Don't
  • Never spray liquid at or near the LED areas, connectors, or cable.
  • Don't clean the chair while it's plugged in or lit.
  • Don't yank the cable out by the cord β€” pull the plug.
  • Don't open the electronics. If the lighting misbehaves, contact support instead of DIY repairs.

Lighting acting up? Check the power connection first β€” then contact us. It's covered by the same warranty as the rest of the chair.

The 10-minute maintenance calendar

You don't need a toolkit and a Saturday. You need three small habits.

Monthly

The quick once-over

  • Dust the upholstery and wipe touch points (armrests and levers)
  • Pick hair and debris out of the casters
  • Blot or spot-clean any new marks before they settle in
Quarterly

The deeper clean

  • Full clean for your surface β€” wipe (PU), vacuum (mesh), or gentle spot-clean (linen)
  • Check visible bolts and hand-tighten anything that's worked loose
  • Run the height and recline through their full range β€” catch stiffness early
Yearly

The full check-up

  • Go over every visible fastener and snug it up
  • Inspect casters and armrest pads for wear
  • Anything worn or wobbly? Ask us about spare parts before it becomes a problem

Stuck on a stain? Squeak you can't find?

Our support team has seen it all β€” and answers by email, in plain language, usually with a fix you can do at your desk.
